Hi babes! I am now back to my regular schedule and I finally had a little bit of money to buy some makeup. YAY! I heard lots of great things (mostly YT reviews) about La Femme Blushes. I was skeptical about purchasing anything from this brand because I wasn't sure if people were really in love with the price or the actual product. Some people swear by ELF and I am convinced it is because of the price and not so much the product. I have a love hate relationship with ELF. lol
I'm always excited to try new blush from companies other than NYX, MAC, Milani, Nars, Benefit etc.... These blushes cost me only $3.00 a piece. They also have pan refills for only $2.50 each. Great right? Below are the colors that you can choose from.
I didn't want to buy pan refills because than I would have to buy the empty palette. I wasn't even sure I was going to like the blushes so, I just bought four of the regular $3.00 blushes.I bought these blushes from www.MakeupMania.com. I ordered the blushes 10/24/11 and they arrived on 11/10/11. They do have really cheap shipping ($3.00) but it does take a while for your ordered to processed and shipped. Below are the colors I ordered.
Top--Purple Passion--Mullberry
Bottom--Framboesia--Cinnabar

Purple Passion Swatch

Final thoughts about the products: The pigmentation very bright and vivid. I did not use a lot of the product to get the right amount of color. The price is pretty good for the blush. I am used to spending $19.00-$30.00 for one blush and these blushes are just as pigmented as some of the higher end brands. The brand has a really good color selection and there are different finishes as well. I very rarely see that with some of the inexpensive cosmetic companies.
The only negative is the lasting power. I have very dry skin and blush can fade on me very quickly. With my Nars blushes, I would not have to reapply for 6-8 hours. Unfortunately, these blushes only lasted about an hour and half. :( I am going to try using them with a cream blush so that maybe I can get a couple more hours. Even with that said, I still think they are worth $2.50-$3.00. They are better than the $3.00 ELF blushes. I hope you all can try to check out this brand.
I am so glad to be back guys! I really miss interacting with your all. Much love
Becca

I had the WORST experience with Makeup Mania. I love all my LaFemme blushes but the shipping process was so horrible that I will never order from them again. Sucks because they have wonderful prices!
ReplyDeleteWow such pretty blushes! I almost oredered some a while ago, but I didn't. I really wanted all the purple blushes, lol!
ReplyDeleteDestinee-I agree 100000% about the shipping/processing. They don't let you know about the status of your order. I had to call them 2 times to see if they were ever going to ship my products.
ReplyDeleteNancy-The blushes are really great and they totally blew me out the water. I wasn't expecting that at all. I think I will buy again but from a different company.

These look awesome! These would be great additions to my kit since I'm super poor and just starting out.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Nothing about ELF really wows me, plus it's a turn off how they ALWAYS have sales. Pretty blushes though. If I didn't already have 347398339 blushes I'd give these a shot. Hopefully you can find a way to increase the lasting power.

Hope you can stop in, say Hi and follow back. Thanks.
i think these look great! you make a really good point about whether or not people just like how affordable cheap brands are. i do love elf because it is affordable and the quality is good -- although, i admit not all their products are great. ;)

wow, the shades are pretty! I've never heard of that brand. but will definitely watch out for it. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors, especially Cinnabar Swatch. I am also sceptical about trying Elf, I don't know why, but it is really cheap. But looking at these blushes and their color, I think I'm gonna give it a try-even though they don't last long.
ReplyDeleteMimi-Yes, Exactly! I love ELF Lip Balm and some of their brushes. I don't really like anything else.
ReplyDeleteHollie-I just came across a La femme review on YT and I had to try them out.
Mira- they are def worth a shot. I have really dry skin (and I live in the desert AZ/NV) and blush really fades quick on me. Maybe it will last longer on you. :)
Ugh I totally have a like/hate relationship with ELF. I Like some of their products- especially their eyelid primer but I dislike a majority of their stuff. A lot of it is the quality of the price tag it has.
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter note, Glad to have you back! :)
I'll be keeping these blushes in mind to check out sometime!
thanks for your blog for more beauty and make up see:

That shipping time would drive me completely insane. I also have a love/hate relationship with ELF.. so many things that other girls love are just straight up misses for me, but on the other hand they have some products that I swear by. They have a great selection of colors but it sucks that they only stayed on for an hour and a half! That's crazy short wear time. As far as texture, would you consider these smooth/soft/buttery, hard pressed, finely milled, powdery..? I'm loving the colors you chose and would like to try some of these out in the future.
ReplyDeleteOhhh they're so pretty & you can't beat that price! Framboesia looks just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWitchHazel- Yes, they apply very nicely!
ReplyDeleteThey all look great!
